Tim is a partner and creative director at Applied, a consultancy he founded to push the boundaries of information design. Tim has designed legible city projects in Bristol, Glasgow, Brighton, Dublin, Vancouver and New York. Tim has had a long-term fixation with making sense of the world’s great cities and finding ways to make them easier to understand. As the originator and designer of Legible London, he turned a simple idea into a capital-wide pedestrian wayfinding system, used over 1bn times a year and now the largest of its kind in the world.
The potential future of wayfinding in cities?… Tim will review Legible London, consider what opportunities have been uncovered and discuss what Legible systems can achieve as our cities evolve.
